new xbox old Samsung M28 ?

Hi i have just joined today , so hi everyone

Just have a quick question regarding a new xbox

My old one died with RROD i tried to fix but its no good

So i decided to buy a new XBOX , i have bought the Forza 3 pack which is a Jasper board etc but im worried i will not be able to flash the dvd drive which could be the new liteon
how ever i still have my old xbox and was wondering if i could reflash the Samsung M28 to use on my new xbox ?

the way i flashed before was with iprep and then the Dsam and Fsma commands with iextreme 1.6

i wonder if i can just follow the same process but enter the new xbox serial number in the dsam commands then just install my old sammy in the new xbox

Hi,

You are still going to have to read the key from your new DVD drive it's not based on the serial number of the xbox unfortunately.

Once you have the key off the new drive you can spoof it onto your old Samsung no problem but you have to get the key first.
