Robin Hoods Playground

So I've read somewhere that flashing a BenQ from 1.5 and up is different than flashing one that is stock-1.4. It was said that unlocking is different and you don't do the power cycle trick but instead the half tray trick. I'm using my 360 to power my drive since I am lacking a kit and I use IPrep, going to try 10.7. I am wondering if this has been addressed in any tutorials or posts. A link to any helpful material would be much appreciated.

Half way trick with an xbox power source is done by opening the tray, pulling the power cable out from the back, then pushing the tray half closed, then putting the cable back in.
