Ben-Q DVD Drive

I have a Ben-Q DVD Drive on my Xbox 360. Was previously flashed with a 1.4 firmware then I had it updated to 1.51 via Iprep. Now since 1.61 came out, I decided to flash it with dosflasher through DOS. I had the tray half way ejected, erased the firmware and wrote in the 1.61. Everything went fine until I put it back together and it wouldn't start a backup game or a retail game. It acts like the game is a DVD. I'm running Windows 7 32-bit, I have the Via 6421 card too. I've flashed other Xbox before but can't seem to figure out what the problem is. I can't upse Iprep 10 to make another usb drive since it all says No Firmware Found.

Sounds like you forgot to inject your 'key' into the new firmware. Hope you had a backup of your origional key or you screwed the pooch on that one. Time for a new xbox if so.

How do I inject my key into the new firmware? I still have my Original firmware and key. I'm in the process of moving the stuff from my desktop to another computer that is running Windows XP Media Center to see if I can use JungleFlasher. Should I use the DOS and restore the drive to the Original firmware first?

ok to restore the drive if you want to, not gonna hurt. might make it easier if you plan on using JF to flash.

if using dos flash you still must prepare the firmware using the firmware 32 tab in JF. ie: inject your key info into it.

use jungleflasher.. the new one JungleFlasher v0.1.67 Beta

on the firmware32 tab

open source firmware ie: the original dump from your drive. "ben-ofw.bin" something like that

NOTE YOUR DVD KEY you will need this if you like playing games with your xbox 360.

now open target firmware when it asks to auto load ixtreme say yes if you have the newest JF or if you are using the old JF say no, and open target firmware "ix161-benq.bin"

now press the spoof source to target, then save current firmware as "bencfw.bin" <-- flash this to your drive and play your own personal legit retail backup of mw2 :)

U could allways use jungleflasher
Load in your benq stock firmware
then load in the ix1.61 and then spoof source to target
Then save to file
Rename it to bencfw.bin and save

Then load up iprep v9
Load in the 1.61 firmware (not the bencfw u just made) also make sure u have the ixdef file updated
Check in Format and make bootable and click start
Once its completed navigate to the flash u just made and open it up and look for a folder named BACKUPS
Open that and make another folder called 1234567
Then open that and create another folder called 12345
Open that and place the bencfw.bin file that u made with jungleflasher in there

Once that done restart your pc and boot into iprep

Once i iprep all you have to do is type fben 1234567 12345
press enter
And follow the on screen instructions from there
once its done put it in your 360 and test

Hope this helps
