Is DVD Key Valid??

Post by BartV »

I can restore my dvd key serial from the files I have like the key, inquiry files etc. When I try to flash my dvd with that key jf says it's a good key. I've tried flashing my lite on 74580 with the ixtreme 5 firmware 'cause I was told that the ixtreme 6 firmware doesn't work right with the lite on drives.

Now my question is how can I check if my dvd key is right before buying another drive?

i'm not sure why someone would tell you that the 1.6 firmware doesn't work well with the lite-on drives because it works just fine. and if i remember correctly it allows you to boot wave 3 games. . . the updates are there for a reason

however in the case of what you're trying to do it's simple, just dump the drive as usual and load up the firmware you want to flash, in you're case, older firmware and then flash. just approach as if you're doing it for the first time.

I think it is a hardware problem I'm also referring to POT. I've already ordered a Xbox 360 BenQ VAD6038 DVD-ROM drive GradeA to flash with my current key. JF says it is a good key even when I've restorred it. The reading error with different firmware's on the drive if it is in my xbox looks the same everytime.

Hopefully the benq flashing goes more smoothly. Thank you for your advice anyway.
