guys,im a newb at flashing,this was my first time,and guess what,a major problem.

ok,i followed shootsteals you tube vid for my lite on 83 series,everything seemed to go as planned just like shoots in the vid.

when i come to put it back in the xbox it wont play games or dvds??? i dont know whats happened??

is there anyway i can recover this,ive got my dvd key,and i did everything that shoot said to save in the video.

please can you experienced guys help me out.

ok first dont panic if you have a good key everthing is ok first thing sounds silly but before you put the console back together did you make sure you put the sata cable back the dvd drive just go through the flashing process again just like you did the first time and see if that solves the problem then let me know if not we will try the next step

Does the drive eject?

yes guys,the drive ejects and powers up and everything,but when i load up jungle flasher it cannot see my drive anymore??

ok,ive got the drive showing in jungleflasher now,and just done a flash again,tried it in the box making sure the sata cable was in and still not able to read the disks??
i can hear the laser start up but then stop??

Can u post the key up so we can take a look at it to make sure its good

im using a ck3 lite,does it matter which mode it is in as im not using a probe???

dont know whether that matters??

Ok guys,I've plugged the molex into the ck3 the wrong way round.

Have I killed the drive,it still ejects,it gets noticed in jungleflasher.

Have I blown the laser ??

Or is it still a flashing problem ??

guys,could someone please point me in the direction of a good tutorial for swapping the lite on with a sammy drive.

ive bought a brand new sammy drive and im abit unsure of what to do as i dont wanna knacker this 1 up aswell.

i know ive gotta spoof the drive,but could just do of abit of a tut on the subject

I dont know if that killed your drive...

Anways, to spoof that sammy...

1) Open your source FW as your dummy.bin then your target as ixtreme for the sammy
2) Open the tray half way
3) Click sammy unlock
4) Click read
5) No need to save the FW if you bought a new drive
6) Write
7) Verify (by clicking ok when it asks)
8) Click outro

Your done...

and youre a star!!!!!!

sorted and works with mw2 put disk in and plays no probs!!!!
