X-Box Live Ban

Hi guys,

Im after a bit of info please, found out today that in the last week 3 of my friends have been banned from xbox live,
all of them have Lite-on drives on version 1.6 of the firmware, i dont know about 2 of them but one of my friends has never played a wave 4 game on the console so has never used the one shot boot disk.

But in the past he has played games off line and saved them to his profile, does anybody know if Microshaft have the ability to check the profiles next time the console is used online ????

as i cant seem to understand how he has got banned when all has been fine for this long.

we are sure that the console will log info
and
report it to M$ the next time it gets on live

the activation disc is not the reason someone will get banned
i have used it many times and have not been banned

I have 6 consoles
3 lite-on, 1 hit 79, 1 sam AND 1 benq
only the sammy was not banned
i don't know why they bann people from xbl when you pay for it. i paid $60 for a service that now i can't use. I'm sure there something that it can be done to fight this. i have never played a pirated copy of the games i have always played back ups from games i bought and because the xbox always finds a way to scratch them, i make backups to just in case with my kreon drive.

I know that this probably doesnt occur to you but this is still a form of Piracy, I dont think RHPG really supports this.

if it was your console that was banned then you can still retrieve you gamertag. you just need a new 360.

The last post is correct, and as far as the law goes with the DRM, a person is allowed one backup copy of any media that they may have legally, but ah you find the lawyer for the class action and come up with the infinite amount of funds to battle M$ and then pm me.

him mate...sorry to hijack this thread, but i paid £30 for 12 monnths live membership, i had 10 months left....how do i know its just my console that is banned ?..can i still transfer my usertag and live account to a brand ne box ?...ta

I got banned from live about a year and a half ago so i was using that console for offline play, when it ring of deathed on me i got another xbox, recovered my gamertag and it let me on live so you should be fine
