upgrading from 1.51 to 1.61 benq

Hello everyone,

I just followed cofrees video on using iprep 10.7 to write 1.61 fw to a benq with previous 1.51 final.
The process went without a hiccup and at the end after writing my pc had a kernel stack error which after testing to power the drive in the console showed no problems. I wanted to prose a different kind of question.
the 1.61 fw for the benq says no hybrid disks. would this be the reason that when i inserted a wave 4 dumbed down with mulleter to a wave 2 that the disc reads as a dvd?
The reason I truly want to solve this is because I have 2 other boxes one a sammy spoof into liteon and a 707 liteon both of which read and play the dumbed down copy. This benq just doesnt seem to like it.
If I use a full wave 4 disc I will i need to use this "active iso" disc?
or will it read the wave 4 data just fine?
I dont have many verbatims laying around and with the economic status I would not like to throw a house party due to coaster collecting around me.

all ends well. turns out the 1.61 benq can read the wave 4 with no problem. THanks Cofree for the video. Next up a new liteon, cant wait see which one it is. Hope its a v 8. those seem so easy!
