just wondering about xbox 360 hd dvd player

i'm wondering if you could put a modd xbox 360 drive in a xbox 360 hd dvd player...of course it would have my info on the drive...so i would have to open my xbox and void the warranty...i know it can be done but does anyone know anyone that has...
