Hi
I have a hitachi 0046DH

This console is a few years old but has never been flashed before

I have flashed a benq before but have no experience with this particular hitachi

I was reading the tutorial on jungleflasher

However i am confused about removing the via drivers bit. When i used jungleflasher before to flash my benq using a via 6421 card i didn't remove any drivers. So am i suppose to remove the drivers ? And also it mentions "Hitachi Drive inquires on my I/O Port and that PortIO is disabled (using non-VIA chipset)". So am i suppose to use portIO option on jungleflasher ? or should i use winAPI

thanks

also i am going to be flashing this on a new windows vista computer. I have a external PCI card for the via 6421.

But do i need to still use the via 6421 or could i use the sata connection present on the motherboard ?

thanks

if you are going to use jungle
you would be better to uninstall all things via
have a read over this
just taking the card out is not enough

now using the onbo sata
have a look over this.
its a old guide but will get youon the path

sorry man
but
there are not many of the older hit drives around now

In the video. you use portIO option for dumping/flashing rather than the winapi option. you also mention that you use a non via sata connection.
But i thought that you don't get the portIO option unless you have a via card ?
