Please help me get my sons xmas present up and running.
Recently I flashed my LITE-ON 74850 c, I realised as a noob that |I had flashed it with iextreme for 83850 c, when I put the drive in the unit I just got the open tray message and the green light flashing constantly, I removed the drive to reflash and may of erased the drive, now i can't detect the drive, I have not fried the drive and still have my dummy, inquiry, identify and key files. I can't detect the drive in jungleflasher, dos 32 or in iprep. I get the 0x7F all the time, I am putting the tray into vendor mode but just not detecting, since my error I have flashed two further Lite-on 74850 c drives with no issues, Please help me !

at which step are you getting the bad filename error message? And did you try using the command "l74 1234567 12345 w" with the modified firmware in the proper folder?

At the command prompt stage I typed in flit 1234567 12345 and got bad filename, I saved my CFW in the folder backups\1234567\12345 as litcfw.bin is there something else for me to try?

The command flit you are using is for the old version of iprep 9. The command you should be using for iprep 10.7 is "l74 1234567 12345 w"

Soz mate i was using that command in 10.7 which did not work then you suggested following the tut which was using iprep 9 and the flit command which still did not work

Hmm.....
Since you flashed it to a l83 earlier maybe you could try the command l83 1234567 12345 w. I read that just plain 1234567 12345 w would work as well but I haven't tried that one. I'm running out of ideas.
Could you write down the error message in full and post it?
Edit: Stupid question I'm sure, but is the drive half open when you go to write in iprep?
