If you managed to create the iprep usb stick you should be able to boot from it easily. When you restart your pc hit the del key rapidly to get into your bios. Go to advanced bios features. Find your boot priority and switch it to the usb key. Your pc should boot off the usb stick now.

If you see a message for a boot menu load into that instead of the bios. You can switch the boot priority directly in there.

I got the flash drive made from iPrep, and it is bootable. I also went into the bios menu and set usb-hdd to boot 1st, and usb-zip to boot 2nd, the the hdd third. It didnt boot the flash drive at all. Also went to the boot menu, and the only selectable options are hdd and dvd-rom.

Stupid e-machine never works how I want it.

when restarting your pC press F11 untill you get the boot list then select your usb device (make sure it's plugged in) and it should boot from there

It is possible that your motherboard doesn't support booting from usb. In this situation you'll need to either make a bootable cd or plug your sata pci card and usb into another pc. You'll need to make the iprep usb again if you switch computers.
