As the title implies I restored an old benq i had laying around pulled the key with jungle flasher, and unfortunately I did not have the OFW file so i snagged one from EDIT COMMANDO -- outside link taken out -- copyrighted meterial
used theirs as the hacked fw and spoofed the key that I pulled earlier. I don't have a game laying around so i tried an audio cd and it worked so I think that the drive is intact. My questions are 1. Is it safe on live? (im really just trying to stream divx files over my network) 2. Is there anything that I missed or did wrong with this method?

I myself have been banned with OFW (although it was on a spoofed drive) and a close friend of mine was banned on OFW about 2 weeks after I restored his box... (he plays online every day)

No you can still get banned but now you can't play your back ups , better off with IXtreme-Good Luck

Just a theory of mine so take it for what its worth. I think if the console has not been flagged at all, meaning you have not connected it to live within the last year or maybe even before that it should be fine restoring it. What do you guys think? Who knows how long they have been flagging people though.
