Hi, finally after screwed up original drive (Liteon83850c) i got a new benq...with benq ixtreme-1.61 and it is spoofed as lite-on, with original liteon key..
..now xbox is just flashing green light and drive open/close button is not working.. looks like it freezed @ vendor mode, i can even get it to vendor mode without opening tray half-way. tested with older ixtreme v. 1.6.0 also got a new power cable for drive.. still same thing (tested with another sata cable too)
Maybe it got a wrong key from liteon? it looks fine

the key looks fine
as long as you know its the right key for that console
can you flash the benq and try it in a different console
just to test the drive

tested it with another xbox, didnt flash firmware, but drive was working, xbox was not flashing green light and open/close button worked ok, think it even plays dvd's without real key.
sad thing is that this is totally new xbox played 0hours

i guess it had wrong flash or spoof. even with bad key, drive was fully operational with another xbox.
damn with this xbox, had successfully flashed many firends xboxes without problems and now cant get my own first xbox to work
looks more like its stuck with vendor mode, dont know how. and not the drive

Hey man all may not be lost here....make the firmware on JF and save it... then use iPrep to force it in....I would use the older version of iprep for this process the 8 or the 9 it don't matter then just write the firmware you created with JF into the drive....you must rename the fw bencfw first as JF name's are incompatible with iPrep.....I have seen plenty of these come in and this method works like a champ.

i dont think theres a problem with disk-drive (or flash), tested with another xbox and it was fully working (even if it had wrong key, i could open/close it and play even dvd-movies).. looks like theres something wrong with xbox maybe sata port has freezed somehow @motherboard or something like that must be, also changed sata and power cables, problem wasnt there.
