ck3 tool driver problems
Re: ck3 tool driver problems
do u have a via pci 6421 card? have u installed the drivers for the pci card. the ck3 needs to be hooked into a D-9 port on the back of the computer and target drive needs to plug into the SATA port of the via card. a D-9 looks like http://www.controlcable.com/custom.asp?i=21957" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. it has 9 points to plug into the computer kinda' like a printer cable but smaller. the only drivers i know of are ones for connecting the ck3 through a usb. also u need to have windows xp sp2. if not sure, dl net frameworkfrom http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... f=112&t=48" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and run u may need to reboot and it could take awhile to install.
check this out for installing the MSINET.OCX
http://www.idchildsupport.com/install.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
i just installed the ck3.exe tool and it boots up fine, basically it is away to install Portio32 onto your system without going through 'ADD HARDWARE' in control panel.
if you have probs with portio32 install check out
http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... 198&t=8126" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
hope this helps

Re: ck3 tool driver problems

Re: ck3 tool driver problems
this site will have the .sys file.
http://www.winfordeng.com/support/download.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
dl the portio zip. u may need to turn off your antivirus. i use mcafee and it thinks it is a trojan virus. u may need winrar or 7 zip. 7 zip is free open source software
(http://www.7-zip.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).winrar u need to pay, but u can use a trial version. once u open the the file, check the file to make sure sys is there open the'win' folder, then 'driver' folder and the sys file should be there.
if you used the 'add hardware' route
click on the browser button and install the sys from there
