im looking to increase my knowledge of hardware firewalls and network designs. i would like to teach myself. are there any online schools that are available for free or minimal cost that can teach me want i need to obtain a cisco license?

i dont know about a free school, but if you go to the Cisco website there are many tools for learning there. Also your local community college might have some courses to take at a low cost and then might have a Cisco testing facility for you to get some Certs.
