Should I absolutely uninstall VIA drivers?
I have flashed about 10 xboxes of all different kinds of drives except for liteon with VIA drivers installed and It is so fast and easy in Jungleflasher. Whenever I get a Liteon though I have been nervous and as a precaution I always uninstall the drivers when I flash this type of drive. My question is since i have had success with the drivers being installed and flashing all of the other drives with no problem, should I try the liteon this way too? Is the liteon freeze guaranteed to happen, or is just some people have bad luck with certain pcs? I'm feelin pretty confident in trying it out, and if it freezes, I'm confident I can recover the drive in dosflash. What do you guys think?

Disable your drivers, its almost a guarantee your LO will freeze.
I leave my drivers disabled for all other drives as well, I suggest you do also, that way you dont need to disable, then enable etc... Unless you are using your via card in raid or something...

I was using 5.30c a while back and flashed a couple benq's and sammy's fine, but then would get errors with hitachi's. When I got my first LO I made sure my drivers were disabled. Depends on your comp I guess.

Yeah I tried it and it froze lol. no biggie though, easy fix with dosflash32. From now on Im using jf to build the custom firmware and dosflash32 to write it. This is only for liteon though, jf works fine with all other drives on my pc. Even with drivers for via installed.
