alright, i got through the tutorial until the part for the liteon erase. everything was just fine. I hit the erase and it went through but return no real vendor information after i powered the drive off then back on within a second. no i think i have bricked a brand new drive. i still have the files it saved but i am at a total loss as to how to get it back or how to force the flash. Am i just screwed. the drive isn't even detected now in jungleflasher. Please help me out. I stopped and didn't try to write when i saw this. the executor will not even eject the drive now. I fear the worst. PLEASE HELP>>>> the drive is a July 2009 so from everything i have read it should be flashable.

thanks in advance.

jeff

alright, i think i got it flashed with some of the pinned articles out there. I have hooked up the drive and now all I see is a Green Xbox logo when i put in a backup. Basically, it thinks every backup is a movie and just sits there. I know these backups are good because they work on my other console. I am thinking something in the flash didn't work correctly. When i put in original games, it treats them as if they were being placed into a computer drive where is says "to play this disc, please insert into an xbox360". I am stuck now. I don't know what to do at this point.

thanks again in advance,

Jeff

I think i know the problem. i didn't think when i did it after getting visibility back to the drive, but i didn't enter the source dummy firmware just the target, so the key was never spoofed before flashing. Question now is how to i fix this? Do i need to run erase again, then input the source and target firmware and hit spoof and then write? or is there something else. Now that i mention it, i am positive this is what happened becuase i remember the target firmware being the only thing picked after i got vis back. Guess i was so happy to be able to see the drive again, i got ahead of myself. I have the intial firmware pulls copied (as backup) like nine other places. Good that my OCD acctually may come in handy for once. THis is again, all with jungleflasher.

thanks,

Jeff

in short, is this what i should do?
in jungleflasher

'MTK Flash 32 Tab'
1. LiteOn Erase

'FirmwareTool 32 Tab'
2. Select Source firmware as original Dummy
3. Select Target firmware as 1.6
4. Hit the 'Spoof Source to Target" (is this really needed since the keys match)

'MTK Flash 32 Tab'
5. Write

Are these the steps I should take, don't want to continue until someone out there answers, i have almost totally killed this thing four times now. Paranoia is mounting.

thanks,

Jeff
