Re: checker-board freeze
Thanks for the quick response, HaGGardSmurf. It looks like Geeks.com has a deal on HMDI refurbs with the 203w power brick. It's mostly luck of the draw, but if they ship as indicated then they would have to be Zephyrs and that means there is a good chance it'll be another BenQ. Worth a shot at least.

Re: checker-board freeze
I had this same thing happen to my benq 360 this past week after I flashed to LT. The flash went without a hitch. I then powered up and played my retail copy of MW2 for about 10 minutes. After not seeing any problems, I exited the game and went back to the dashboard. About 5 minutes later, I saw the...

Re: Stream movies to a banned console
You don't really even need to have a PS3 for that purpose. You can still utilize a 3rd party software media server like PlayOn on your LAN at home with a banned console. You don't need to be signed into Live to access the Media PCs or software servers from the console.

Check my thinking...
While I think I've got a decent chance of figuring this one out on my own, I wanted to bounce some ideas off the group here. I originally flashed my BenQ to 1.4 last year and still have the backup (thankfully) of the stock firmware. Back then I had a nforce board and was able to flash via on-board S...

Re: Another nforce4 and Benq flash sucessful
The hardest part was just overcoming the quirks of my motherboard and the nforce4 drivers for it from nVidia. Vista seemed to be reading the Sata port locations incorrectly...or at least differently than from what iPrep was using. In Vista, I couldn't get the iPrep ID and I/O to match with what was ...

Re: Another nforce4 and Benq flash sucessful
Tonight I'm going to attempt another flash, this time on a Hitatchi drive. Whether or not it's a go will depend on how much is involved in getting the drive into Mode B. Hopefully the Slax disc will work.

Another nforce4 and Benq flash sucessful
Hi all - Just wanted to throw a confirmation out there for nforce4 flashing on the BenQ drive. I followed the video CoFree used here and the hardest part was finding right sata port to talk with the drive on my DFI Lanparty UT SLI-D. After several unsuccessful flash attempts using iPrep 101.006 in V...
