i am going to get a new drive. which drive is the easiest to flash?

it wont pllay or read anything now, dvd or game. the ixtreme i used was ix161 samsung.bin with iprepv1.79
can i try to reinstall the firmware or do i need a new drive?

they are original games. it will say reading then open tray.i dont know what else to try. can my anti-virus software be causeing me to download an incomplete file or a corupt file?is there a better ixtremebin for the ms28 that may help?

OK i got win7 drive signature feature disabled.downloaded JF v1.79. i get the message error could not connect to remote server when i install it. but it will install. i used the Sammy unlock then read the drive saved the firmware but when it asked to load the firmware automatically it couldn't do it...

i got the virtual xp working and tried to install iprep but it says there are some prerequisite to download. i tried to let it do so and an error came up (remote server not found error 404) and wont complete the install do i need a certain version where can i get the download that will work best wit...

i just found out that win 7 has a virtual xp mode i am going to try that. or will i still need the via card?
