Im sure you still need to use the lite-on firmaware not the hitachi one. The drive is spoofed so it responds as a hitachi but the firmware has to be lite-on or the drive wont function.

Why would anybody threaten this guys wife and dogs?? Even if its only a joke it cant be much fun for him and he has a job to do the same as anyone else. We all play the game and take the risk of being banned :lol: Some people just aren't mentally stable enough to handle losing $200 dollars of funct...

Hi,
You are still going to have to read the key from your new DVD drive it's not based on the serial number of the xbox unfortunately.
Once you have the key off the new drive you can spoof it onto your old Samsung no problem but you have to get the key first.

Just got an elite to flash that went to MS for RROD repair about a week ago and it has one of these large heat sinks. Maybe they are replacing them all when they are in for repair. This one has a benq drive fitted.

I had this problem last night. Flashed a benq using jf from 1.4 to 1.6 and it would not play any backups or originals but DVD's worked fine. Checked the key again with jf and it looked good so i reflashed the drive with 1.51 and it all worked fine :roll: I had to give this 360 back so i couldn't spe...
