Hello,

I just got my sh-d162c drive today I just wanted to know is this also a recorder or just a dvd rom? when i am ready to do my backups how do I go about doing this. Do I just insert my orig. copy in the sh-d162c and use xbc to make the copy? not sure how this works someone please help.

It's a DVD-ROM only, not a burner. You will need a separate Dual Layer to burn your 360 games. To play backups first your 360 DVD-ROM has to be flashed with the Xtreme or iXtreme firmware. Then you need to flash the SH-D162C with the latest Kreon's firmware. If you bought it off eBay it may be preflashed. Open up Xbox Backup Creator and go to the read tab. Under the additional info at the bottom of the log it will say Kreon and the firmware version if it is flashed with Kreon's firmware.
