April 2008 Benq drive

you will have to wait and see as it all depends on probability. but if you are recieving a arcade xbox you might get either benq or the new one, if its a premium then hopefully a hit and sammy drives. hopefully you dont end up with hit 79 or the new benq. let us know what you get.

By new BenQ you mean the Lite-On? I bought a Premium system with an extra wireless controller for 362 shipped. I thought it was a pretty good deal. I checked out the video of the modding a hit 79. Doesn't look bad at all. The guy just put some solder onto the traces and then held the iron above the passkey with it set on top of the traces. WHen I did the wiis, man those points were SMALL. Anyways, thanks for both of your responses and I'll report back here later this week.

it looks like these are only being used for repaired consoles at the moment... I havn't heard any reports of them surfacing in retail packets yet.

i know it is june 2008 now but these drives are now apearing in cali i had about two people come to me with these drives in the last 4 days brand new from walmart

what's the manufacture date these systems ?

i'm guessing may/june...as i think they were only sending em out in repaIred consoles in april.

anyway i hope this drive gets hacked sooner or later.

sorry to have taken so long but the systems that i saw them in said march 2008 on the drive and the system serial on the back of the 360.... i know it sucks but they have tryed this before and we beat them this one looks to be a little bit harder to beat..

i bought my 360 on april 1st, but my system/drive was manufactured in january.

March is the earliest mfgr date that I've heard of on these benq/lite-on drives. Even on the ones that were coming back from repair that I've talked to were dated in March.
