Flashing HITACHI V79 FL

i have a xbox 360 with hitachi-LG drive v0079 fl . and i would like flashing it.

i reded some turtirols but i understand any think.

Please help me.

In order to flash a hitachi 79, your going to need to solder in or have soldered in a 79 passkey. Once thats installed, you can then follow the guide for flashing a hitachi 78 drive. If your really wanting to flash that drive, I would recommend getting a professional to install the passkey. I don't think there has been but a couple of people on this forum thats done a 79 though.

no sorry to say.
the nit v79 is a bad(hard) dvd drive to flash.
the only way to mod(flash) the dvd drive os with a passkey mod chip soldered in the drive.
there is a different kind of mod chip ,but it does the same thing as the passkey.
the solder work is very small,and can be hard unless you are good at soldering.

another problem is that it will be hard to find anyone to install the passkey for you.

The 79 is different to the rest of the Hitachi drives, basically because it has a bit removed. That 'bit' is the hardware required to dump/flash the drive.

The passkey is basically that bit, with the commands for flashing the drive. Meaning without the passkey installed (which is not an easy thing to do at all), you ain't getting shit from it

If you look hard enough you'll be able to find people that do it. But there aren't hundreds that advertise....
