Using an Xbox HD adapter get console banned?
Have a 360 with 120GB hard drive, loaded with latest iXtreme. I hate how you can't load MP3's from a DVD onto the HD. I have an sata adapter which will let me plug the 360 HD into my PC - if I load MP3's directly on this way, is it possible I would be sending out a red flag to Live and end up getting banned?

I'm pretty sure you can rip music, but not %100... As for getting banned for having them on there, I doubt it. I've never heard of anyone doing so anyway

And if at first you don't succeed..? Order the damn card!

Mirc is a place to chat, post up on the site for help!!!

i think you can rip to the hard drive if it dont have copyright protection
i dont think the 360 supports mp3.so even if you move them in your self it still want know how to play them.if it dont lock up the console.

You can rip audio CD's to the 360 HD, I've done it several times, not sure about audio dvd's.. It's not really worthwhile though, it takes forever. Your best bet is to network your 360 to your PC and stream mp3's, or load up an external HDD or Flash Drive with mp3's and transfer them to the 360 HDD or stream from there. That way you aren't taxing the 360 laser for something as pointless as an audio CD and it's not using any discs.
