SATA DVD-R/+R DL Drive
SATA DVD-R/+R DL Drive
I'm looking for a SATA DVD-R/+R DL Drive that can burn great XBOX 360 copy. I do not have a budget so anything is good. I just need a one with SATA so I can connect it to my SATA cable rather than digging for an IDE adapter. Please any help is great!
Re: SATA DVD-R/+R DL Drive
I have a:
Pioneer dvd-rw DVR 215 thats a sata and burns any of my 360 games
You just need to make sure it can burn dual-layer further more if it can burn the correct media types Then it comes down to using the right program and set it up right.
if you planning on using image burn here is how to do it.

Just about any dual layer burner will do the trick. Just have to find one that has good specs and that you like.

Re: SATA DVD-R/+R DL Drive
I was reading other thread about the right DVD DL burner and they mention "bitsetting" is that what i'm looking for? I have been going around and checking DVD DL burner; none of them have bitsetting listed on their specifications. Should I just google the model number with bitsetting as a keyword?
Right now I'm looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6827129032
It's the Pioneer DVR-216DBK. Should be good right?

Re: SATA DVD-R/+R DL Drive
yep
it should be fine.
as long as you are running the newer firmware you dont need to worry about bitsetting.

Re: SATA DVD-R/+R DL Drive
Bitsetting just means that a DVD-ROM drive "sees" the disc as a DVD-ROM (store bought disc) as opposed to a DVD+R DL. CoFree is right, this hasn't mattered for a long time in the 360 scene.
