Hitachi 47D won't get into ModeB. Halt at “waiting for usb..

I burned the SLAX 2.0 on a CD-R. I did not use a usb device.

What I did
1. Turn on the computer first
2. when the Slax runs I then turn on the XBOX 360
3. Slax will do it thing and Halt at “waiting for usb devices”
4. Then this error occured:

“Fatal error occurred- Livedata not found. Searching for livecd.sgn file, but file not found. You are maybe using an unsupported boot device (eg. SCSI or PCMCIA CD-ROM) Try to copy all data from CD/USB to your IDE harddisk, for example to /mnt/sda1/alldata/ in Linux or C:\alldata\ in Windos. Then boot again.”

I have tried:
1. Turn on the computer at the same time as the XBOX 360 but a proble arise: The computer screen stuck at " _" (The background is all black with _ flashing)

I will try:
1. Using SLAX 2.1

Motherboard model:ASUS P5Q Pro LGA 775
CD Drive Model: Samsung SH-S203B

you need to have the drive hooked up then boot off the cd that has slax in the drive.
getting this will make it a lot easier.

I don't quite understand. I unhooked the SATA cable from the 360 then I hooked up the computer SATA cable to the 360. Then I boot up the computer and the Xbox 360. Did I do something wrong?

well
no you can power the 360 dvd drive with the 360(if you must)
you have to boot your computer on to the slax cd.
you dont boot to windows. After the 360 dvd drive is in modeB the you would reboot the computer into windows to flash the drive.
keep in mind that the 360 will power off after a certain amount of time because the dvd sata cable is unplugged.That could be bad in the middle of a flash.

most of us dont do it that way..
we use the kit i put up in the post above.
the x360 usb to sata,lets you hook your dvd drive up to a usb port on your computer and coverts it to a sata.
the kit also will put the 360 dvd drive in modeB with the push of one button.(no slax)

Thank you Cofree for answering my many questions. I saw TEXTBOOK did it on the video at Xbox mod and read his direction. I was trying to duplicate it but I was halt on the error the Slax disc gave me. Is there anyway that I can replicate what Textbook did on my XBOX 360?

well man the first step is to get slax to boot and get thee 360 drive in modeB.
try both slax files.burn them on a cdr
