Xbox 360 HDD E68

Hi,

I bought this xbox 360 20gb harddrive of ebay, upon recieving it didn't work just kept giving e68 on three different xbox's. So I opened it up and it all looks fine theres a video I took just to show what its doing . Anyone with any comments would be much appreciated.

this is from the error code list
E68: Hard Drive Error... It could be a problem with the Hard Drive itself or a problem with the internal connection to the hard drive, Try removing the hard drive and playing without it, This can also be caused by a Hard Drive Eprom Error. Some also believe this might be caused by a problem with the fans.

i have never seen some one use a 5.25 hard drive on a 360
the ones that i know of use a laptop hard drive.
even then there is one kind in particular that you should use.
as far as i know.
ive not messed with the hard drive stuff much

emmm....
Did you see the video? I removed this harddrive from the hard drive case for the 360. The xbox is fine without the hard drive but its the hardrive I want to fix.

sorry about that after you zoom inb it look big.

i would think its a Hard Drive Eprom Error.i know you have to have the right file on the HD, for a different HD to work on your console
like i said im not the best with the hard drive stuff

I bought another harddrive off ebay for that xbox in the video and it worked fine, but that harddrive in the vifeo won't work for any of three xbox's that i have so it must be something else also when I try to connect it my computer it just freezes up the computer?

who on ebay did u get it from (just out of curiosity)

errm id say that it MAY be damage in post....or that the hdd was broken when he sent it but didnt say.

yea i do...well it wouldnt reli have got that in post, my guess is hes broke it, sold it as working and fort ''wen they get it ill say damage in post'' u wana start a dispute with ebay and paypal saying he knowingly sent u damaged items as the error is an internal 1 that postal damage wouldnt have brought about.

ask for ur money back. if u get it i have a working 1 ill be selling soon, sum1 on a 360 site (im nt gna name it) sent me a free 120gb hdd for helping him flash his xbox over msn just waitin on a migration kit as xplore360 HATES 120gb hdds

ya ill start that dispute thx for your help, how much would you be looking for that hard drive? Ive already got a replacement 20gb hard drive off ebay again but id consider a 120gb hdd.

not selling the 120gb, as soon as i find a migration disk ill be movin my stuff over and selling the 20.

after bout 25 quid for it (20gb)
