Has anyone tryed putting lightscibe on the back of ther backup?

keep in mind guys putting on labels is a bad idea.

Last time I looked into it there were no dbl layer disks that supported lite scribe. That may have changed by now though.

I may be wrong in this thinking, but I would think that having a dual layer disk that was litescribe capable would make the disk to thick to be compatible with all drives. Most drives are only compatible with certain thicknesses of disks so adding two data layers in a predefined thickness of substrate and then adding another writable top layer so writing on all three layers without the laser affecting a layer that wasn't intended to be written on would probably be a bit to much. I could go on about possible solutions and such, but thats what I think the reason DL litescribe disks can't be found at the moment.

lol @ lightscribe, i have a LS burner but i never used that part of it.

i use a sharpie maker to label my discs, good enough for me lol.

even if they had em, i'm sure ls dl discs would cost more anyway as do the ls dvd-r ones.

no thanks, i use normal verbatim dvd-r for my movies too.

Sharpie all the way for me too! They don't last long enough with my kids to warrant the time it would take to lite scribe them even if you could. I used to make up a box and a cover with the real cover on it, but now they all get stacked on one of those little round thing that a big stack of dvds comes on! Go figure!

LightScribe Disk may not be a problem but to be on a safe side it is not recommend. But I think LighScribing won't increase the disk thickness .... Also DL LightScribe disk are not available everywhere and cost some extra bucks.
