No XTREME Pri Master

Hey, I have a MS25 drive and I'm trying to flash it with the new iXtreme 1.4 I make the USB thing in iPrep, boot that up, type dSam 1234567 12345, hit enter, and it lists my drives. There are 4 drives listed, one of which is IDE Pri Master, but no XTREME Pri Master. What do I do?

try a via6421 sata pci card.
or a different cable

go into more detail what you are doing.

I haven't flashed a drive before. I'm using the same card you do (or so I am told, this one http://tekgems.com/Products/la-pci22-vt6421a.htm)

Do I have to do something in my BIOS and switch something to SATA?

when you set up iprep everything went good.no errors.

Yep, iPrep 006 and no errors at all. Is there anything in BIOS maybe?

the only thing you would have to do in the bios is get it where it will boot on the usb flash.

Hm, so I guess it's the cable maybe. I didn't have to do anything special when I installed the SATA right? I just put it in the slot, installed the drivers and that's it.

if your talking about the pci sata card.yea thats it put the card in and install the drivers.
Hell one of me cards windows had the drivers.I did not even have to install the drives it picked it up.

Hm, it's weird. I'll head over to radio shack tomorrow and pick up a new cable and see if that does the trick.

Yea, just with Samsung not BenQ. Also, why is the drop down thing selected for the SATA controller? I have that, but there's nothing if I click it.

if you click the down arror and it s the only one thats why.its the only sata in your computer

Hey dude some pointers. Make sure that when you look in the Computer Management window you see the card like in the attached pic.

Also make sure that you try both ports on the card. My card is the one with one IDE in the middle and 2 SATA ports on the ends. When you boot from the USB make sure that there are no drives powered on. This will make sure you dont flash the wrong drive.

Please if you get stuck during any of this do not attempt to continue or your drive will be bricked. Ask if you are unsure of a step. Remember there is no such thing as a stupid questions. Hope this help. Keep us posted on your progress.
