Xbox backup creator 2.7?
just wanna is there any difference in the settings. In the option tab i set the set speed to 4x. also there is a little star next to the 12x is that the default? but when i read and do a complete backup. While reading in the box i see that it says read speed 12x. Is read speed 12x and set speed 12x different? will it matter? Thanks.

I think we all recommend doing the slowest speed available. That will ensure that the file will write/read without any problems or skipping anything.

i think you shopuld dump slow 4x speed is fine.
burn slower 2.4x or slower.
others do it different dump fastest I dont.

Well maybe the dump isn't as important as the burn as long as you verify that it passes everything. I had problems backing up some games but it was because the game had some hazing on it so it took a while to get some good reads. So, burn at 2.4x and read at whatever works.

I have followed the guide to use XBC to the T. I have a retail copy of GOW2 in the drive and I use ABGX 0.9.4 to check the image I made. For some reason it fails to verify the image in the database. Mulleter on the other hand detects nothing wrong. I'm not sure how many of you guys use ABGX but was wondering if I should be worried about playing the backup? Here are the scan pics. I used 4x btw to dump it (SH-D163A Kreon 1.00).

DMI Sector (Disk Manufacturing Information):
This sector is also contained within the lead-in and contains information about the Disc manufacturer, such as Company name, batch id etc. This is currently different for each Xbox360 and Xbox1 game in each region.
Any requestes for this information is now redirected to the the DMI sector now at $04FB1E (for Xbox 360 backups) or $0605FE (Xbox 1 backups).
A pre V3 backup will always return blank information for this. (A possible detection method.)
