well man
there are not many people that even mess with backing up a game that way.
i have done it a few time just to get a understanding of the method.

i do know there are many game that are not in there data base.
there data base is drove by people uploading the files that are needed and many do not fill good about doing that.

one game that comes to mind is halo 3.
I could not believe how long it took before the auto fix would fix that game.
so if it took that long, for that game then there are game that may never get the files uploaded.

with the error you are getting i would think that is what is happening to you.
it has been so long i dont remember the error you get when the files are not there.

I know you have probably heard this a 100 times ;)
the best way to do a backup is with a sh-d162c dvd drive that is flash with kreon firmware like this one.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Kreon-SH-D163B-SH-D ... 240%3A1318" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
after that it is just a matter of a few programs that you can find here for free,and you are making safe backup.

sorry i could not be more helpful. ;)

Sounds like you ran across a game that wasn't in their database. You my try abgx. Of course the best way to go about it is to break down and get the kreon drive that cofree suggested.
