the v59 and v47 flash the same
so if the v59 is playing then you are doing it right.

as long as you burned them no faster than 2.4x then i would say its the laser (or dvd drive) that is bad.
you could try a pot tweak, but only after you have tried everything else.
the older hit are starting to give people a lot of trouble now.
i would try a backup on a different kind of DL disc just to see maybe sony.

! it sounds the same on both 47 drvs.. as if the disc keeps skipping. like the old ps1 .. yet originals play fine! :x
but they flash perfectly its just the 47s wont play back ups i have flashed over 10 families and friends drvs thanks to your help! :D

yea
do all your burning at 2.4x or slower.

here is the guide for a pot tweak.

could be the 4x but i doubt it, think it's just the drive/laser is crapping out or something.

unless these hit's are really that picky with burn speeds ? could be i guess.

i'd try a 2.4x or slower burned disc first and go from there if it still doesn't read it then try the pot tweak or just get a new laser/drive.

good luck.

I had a hitachi that would do the same thing. I think your laser is getting weak also. I bought one from fleabay for $30.00 + $20.00 shipping, flashed it, and wala no more problems. Drive came straight from hong kong and worked like a charm. I tried the pot tweak and ended up burning out the laser, because the point that the tutorial said to check and mine were different and I wasn't getting any reading with my multimeter. So I kept turning it up.....

I guess the moral is, I would try the pot tweak, but prepare yourself for buying a new drive. You can spoof just about anything into it, but I personally went with the same 47 that came out of it to simplify future flashing.

why for both drvs though exactly the same drv slipping, yet originals play so smooth now!
one is nearly a 8 months newer then other.... but still the same problem :(

i will attempt the pot tweak it just seems a temp fix.... i want a way to solve this dilema? :D

i think your all right.... both lasers have become old and need tweaking. or might send them to shoalin school to become ninja lasers

thanks cofree, jman, digital

The only other thing i would suggest trying is burning them on a different computer. Cofree and I had the exact same burner, and for a long time the ones he burned on his computer would play on my box, when the ones I burnt wouldn't... go figure. Anyway that just goes to show that even with the same burner you may have differences. That too may be a temp fix though as the 47's are getting really old and are known for this issue.

but if those burnt games were working on a different hit 59 in this case then there should not be a problem for the hit47 but if the hit 47 is playing originals then it should hav no problem reading verbs but it may be the laser. when you flashed the 46 drive did you stealth flash it and did you get the message saying 100% flash done if so then i guess it s the laser,
flashed 16 benQ, 8 Sams25, 3 sam28, 2 hit 0059dj, 2 0047dh 3 0047dj, still stuck on 0078fk, failed 0047dj hardware

You have to keep in mind that playing burnt games is much harder for these drives than playing originals. They were not intended to play backups so it was not put into their read schema. You will be able to play an original when a backup will never work.

This is why really good media and burn techniques matter so much. So you can get a backup that will pass as an original in every way. Some drives are better than others at this too.
