wierd behaviour HIT 0047H

Post by fozzy1970 »

Hi Guys , i appologise now if this has been discussed before. Have been trying to flash a hitachi 0047H for a pal. Thing is in mode B (2 presses of eject button on connectivity kit to open), Soon as i turn it on my pc freezes for about 15 secs, then the drive not recognised, then it is? I go into device manager and it says drivers not installed??? Have wiggled sata cable about etc. When i try to install or update driver it says no better match than whats installed??? Has anybody experienced anything similar and what was the cause? Thanking you in advance FOZZY

Sorry guys forgot to ask  Did the very early 360's have a drive and motherboard key to match them together, i recall hearing something like they did not? The date on this xbox is 19 oct 2005 and 10-2008 on the drive, is this one of the 1st ones? Thanks again

yep

you are using a kit for modeB but how are you hooking the computer to the dvd drive.
usb to sata
or just to a sata port ona card ???
if a sata card
try noy hooking it to the dvd drive till at the windows loading bar starts across, after starting windows
then open and close the dvd drive 4 or 5 times to help it mount to the computer.

this is how i mount a hit dvd drive (older one ) to the computer.

hi, how are you trying to power the drive are you using a connectivity kit in mode b or just using your xbox or atx to power the drive. in this case for a hit you dont need to use the slax disk if you are using the connectivity kit. is your sata driver for the via card installed properly. always use the sata port on the card which is in the front of the card or the port which is nearer to the motherboard. do let us know the process you are using to do this.
flashed 16 benQ, 8 Sams25, 3 sam28, 2 hit 0059dj, 2 0047dh 3 0047dj, still stuck on 0078fk, failed 0047dj hardware

Parminder, am using connectivity kit as stated in 1st post. The sata cable is plugged into the right port, as have flashed shed loads of boxes and this is the only one which seems to be having trouble in windows. Wil try again when get box back of mate. Until then can't do anything, was hoping he would of brought it round by now. Will let you know what happens

Hi guys just a quick update of the problem. Sorry its been ages only just got box off him. All done! the problem was with the sata card or connection, but only with this drive??? all other drives work fine. I plugged it into on-board sata and run flash ix and fine not a problem. Weird huh? Thanks for your help as always :) FOZZY
