I have done many drives like this and have never ran into this problem. I have an xbox with a fairly new BenQ drive that will not flash. I successful ran through the process like a normally would and it said that it was flashed. Once I plugged it in to test it it gave me the unplayable disc screen asking to insert an original game and it did that for original games as well as backups. I decided to take a look at the sames key and it was a series of 7's. I did a restore on the drive and I was getting worried because now I never was able to get the original key. I ran through the restore process and it went fine. Then I re-flashed the drive. It said valid key and everything. I tested it again and received the same message. I am baffled and don't know what to do.
Please any help will be appreciated.
I am using the Via card in case you guys were wondering.
Thanks in advance,
Jay,
BenQ flashing problems
Re: BenQ flashing problems
well
did you put a orig game disc in the console after the restore
did you every check the key in the ofw that the restore was done with.
open both ofw and cfw with firmware toolbox and see if the key is good in both.
if both the keys are bad and you dont have a good key its game over
its just a dvd playing now.
