Tools for dumping Lite-on drive

Hi, I have been reading in this forum for a while now and I always read about extractor and now I see a new one is out again. I was wondering if someone could break it all down for me and explain what all these tools are and what they are used for.

Up till this point I have only used the Xbox to power the drive while flashing, but I would like to have a device to power the drive and maybe put it into mode b a little easier.

Also the dreaded Lite-on drive, what would be the best thing to bye to dump the key from it, or would it be better to wait for xtreme 1.5?

all the stuff about the lite-on is new
as soon as there is a good strait forware way to do any thing with it we will put something up.

awesome to see you posted the xtractor tool..
i had 100% success ratio with it and i would recommend it to anyone with the money that cant wait for the xecuter.

anyway.. i had a simple question....

today i update my un-flashed box with the new nxe and used my hard drive to do it.
everything went well and now i want to put the hard drive back on my flashed and un-updated box..

should i place the original liteon back in the flashed sammy box and then attach the hard drive and get the update safely
and then attach the sammy back in?

i know this might not be the place to ask but direct me if you may and i will proceed.
