1 last question and im ready to flash my 360 :) i've read that if i use my 360 to power my dvd drive during the flash that i need to have the A/V cable connected but i have a premium system with an HDMI port do i need to have an HDMI cord hooked up to(i dont have 1 but can barrow my bro's if needed) or just the SD A/V cord

P.S.sorry about the double post but i wanted it bumped so it gets answered

i dont see a bump but you dont have to bump every post is looked at by the guys that are trying to help.

you dont need to hook the hdmi just the video cable.it dont even have to be hooked to the tv.just in the back of the 360
