Help me PLZ :(

Hi there,

I have a question for all you xbox flashing experts out there...I recently after many months of saving, purchased an XBOX 360 with a Hitachi V78 drive along with a PCI VIA6421A sata card which I have correctly plugged into my mother board. After many days of reading up on "flashing" and downloading many tutorials, I attempted to flash my XBOX last night. Everything seemed to be going smoothly..My XBOX was in MODE B, my computer detected the Hitachi drive and the original movie which I had inserted but upon opening the "MAXIMUS 4.8 TOOLBOX" this is where the problem arose "I think".

I was at the final step of the tutorial where u press "start flashing" and halfway through this process, it gave me an error- I dont remember it word for word, but something along the lines of "you need to plug the card into the NATIVE sata ports-press retry of abort process"...I freaked out at this stage and continuously pressed "RETRY" in the hopes that maybe I could bypass that error message and successfully flash my BOX...this is where the horror begun

I switched on my XBOX to check to see if it was successfully flashing and behold the "circle" or "ring" was flashing red and green and wasn't booting to the main screen at all...I automatically assumed that perhaps I had stuffed up the "brain" side of things in the XBOX during flashing and so decided to rectify the SATA problem..I plugged the sata cable into another port (inner this time) and re-did the whole flashing process only this time I attempted to restore the "original.bin" file..everything again was going smoothly, it was in Mode B blah blah, and finally when i attempted to flash it said "successful"...YAY!! I thought, it was the sata cable all along but then when I attempted to boot the xbox, that dreaded RED and GREEN light still flashed and is still haunting me

It wont boot and I am out of options...I tried using different versions of the MAXIMUS software, but still, it continues to haunt me...I am out of options and don't know wat to do, plzzz help me!! I spent many months saving and really don't want to think the worst for my XBOX as yet

man the v78 is a pain some times.
sadalius is better with them than I.
I sure he will pick up the thread when he sees it.

when you did the dump did you get a key or was file.

so at this point when you power the console, on the front lights flash green and red.
what lights are doing what.

thankyou for ur reply lol, I was beginning to think that perhaps my calls for help were going unheard...when I did the dump, I was able to successfully create the backup of the "original.bin" and also received a key which I have saved...do you think that perhaps maybe I received a faulty key due to perhaps a faulty Maximus program? as for the lights, 2 flash red and 2 flash green constantly

open that firmware in toolbox and see if your key is good

ive not heard about the red and lights
we will have to wait for sadalius for more

thats the problem, I open up the firmware toolbox, restore the "original.bin" and it tells me successful but when I go to boot the Xbox, it flashes red and green, I just hope I haven't stuffed up my xbox for good...do u know when sadalius will be returning?

dont do anything but load your firmware in toolbox and see if its a good key

Please pardon my ignorance, but how would I go about doing that..do you mean load my original.bin file and see if the same key comes up? again I apologize

yes
open your orig firmware and see what the key is
it should be a lot of different letters and numbers
if it all the same then its a bad key

Yea, I tried that tactic, and it gives me what appears to be a good key (all diff letter and numbers)..do you think RAID could have anything to do with it coz I did purchase that PCI 6421 card off ebay and have read that RAID needs to be disabled in the BIOS but it doesn't appear in the BIOS when I check so I'm assuming that RAID wasn't installed?

no i dont the raid is a thing.
just wait for sadalius at this point man.
save a copy of that firmware off your computer.
what does it do if you dump it again.
dont try to flash just dump and see if it gives you a good dump now.

okay thank you very much for your help, I have my fingers crossed and just hope that the answer awaits me real soon...I just can't believe how the program tells me that I've successfully flashed my XBOX but when I go to boot it up, it flashes red and green and refuses to show me anything

did u buy a used 360 ?

was it working fine before you flashed it ?

I bought it brand new out of a box and yes, it was working

are you sure all the cables are hooked up in side the console

By cables I'm assuming you mean, the power pack and the AV cables...if so then yea...do you think I should download another original.bin with another password and re-try?
