New backup freezes off disc, but plays fine off hard drive ?

werid, i burned eternal sonata (it burned fine no errors as usual with all my burns), but yet when i try to play it off disc it freezes right after the bandai namco screen.

so i installed it to the hd just to see if that would help and it plays just fine off the hd.

my question is why doesn'it play off disc then ?

really not sure what to think.

any ideas guys ?

all my other games work fine off disc no problems.

My Call of Duty 4 Disc gives me reading error time to time.. so I installed it on HDD and now no error...

Even i wanna know... is there some issue with my ROM?

I also get error once a while playing Virtua Tennis 3.. when i tried to copy to HDD it says disc may be scratched..

Many games works without error.. many wont...

I am just not able to understand

it could be a lot of stuff guys.

the biggest is what kind of dvd drive do you have.
v25 or one of the older hit dvd drive
that could be the trouble.

mines a benq, i don't get no error it just freezes after the opening screen, i think it's maybe somewhat of a bad burn but i dunno.

i have no problems with any other games and i also just burned prince of persia and it works perfect.

not really sure why eternal sonata doesn't lol.

oh well long as it works off the hd i guess it's fine with me.



anyway i've burned so many games and this is the only slight problem i've ever had with a backup.

Yeah, you can expect to get a bad disk every once in a while, even in the best of brands. If it concerns you, I would try to re-burn it, maybe even re-rip and re-burn from the original again.

do yo recommend to clean the rom lense using any solution? or it just the disc issue?

my battlefield bad company sed to give me disc clean error at a specific stage everytime.. i thought disc is bad.. then after like 4 days when i tried ..it worked.. i finished the game.. bt yeah sed to get error once a while.. had to restart console and clean disc..

i would just burn a new disc first and see how it works
