Modding with Linux Mandriva

Hi everyone,
Im new to the modding world of Xbox360 and I have done a lot of research, but I'm still not sure how to perform the mod.

I understand I have to mod my cd drive which by the way is a Samsung. However, I'm not sure which firmware to use and if it will work with my xbox kernel (7357). Also, what program should I use since I ran Linux Mandriva in my PC?

There is a lot of info in the web, but I dont know what is good and bad.

Don't think you'll be able to with that dash...

Pretty sure you need to be on 4532 (or something like that) to run the KK shader hack

i dont think he is wanting to run the KK exploit.
i think he is just running a unix "OS" on his computer and is trying to find programs that will work with it.
