cofree, do you have preference of using IMGBURN over XBC 2.7? I'm just wondering if one is more superior than the other.

I have question about dumping a game using XBC 2.7. What is the "build splitvid ISO" do? Do I check it or not? Does it make any differnce? I ripped mine without checking this.

they say it dont matter now but it mite in the future.
the one you have done should be fine.none of mine are split vid
the new ones you do you may want to do them that way just to be on the safe side

Yeah, I use XBCr to burn mine. This is only because of convenience. I don't have to close one program and open another. Call it laziness if you like :D but, I see no reason not to use it, after all, if it doesn't support your burner, if you have imgburn or nero installed, you can choose to use those engines to burn with. So if your a die hard imgburn fan, or just get better results from imgburn, you can check the option to use the imgburn engine, and not have to open and close programs.

On the subject of splitvids, I actually do this. Simply because it's something they say they can check for. They say that MS isn't checking for that at the moment, but you never know. They might.

OK so to be on the safe side, just check the splitvid box and ripped all games that way, correct.

one question...
okay i got my verbatim dvd+r dl 2.4x and i use imgburn ,,i follw your guide from here (http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... =110&t=117)
and im litlle confused !,,i use imgburn to burn .dvd file and .iso file
(but only the .dvd file the program take),,
then in tools ,then settings ,,what are the exact settings,, like is explain in top of the page:

(3. Go to the "TOOLS" tab and under the "SETTINGS" then to the "WRITE" tab on the right hand side select the radio button labeled "User Specified" under the "Layer Break (For DL Media)" section. Now in the textbox next to the words "Sectors in L0:" enter the value: "1913760" (without quotes of course).Click ok)

or on the bottom:

(OPTIONAL: You can go back to "Tools -> Settings" and then back to the "Write" tab and set the "Layer Break" option back to "Calculate Optimal" if you are going to be using ImgBurn to burn other dual layer images that are NOT Xbox 360 backups. If you are only gonna be burning dual layer Xbox 360 backups, you can leave it to the setting before and resume at step #4 the next time you wanna burn a backup.)?

so i did put the "" calculate optimal"" is this the write choice for my burning?
and to the end i got i screen that is saying to insert the next disk!
(well the burning was done okay,,but when i put into the console is reading then, sayz "open tray""!
i'm just guesing a other thing that i may be done wrong in the firmware ,,there was some key that you have to put so i follow the guide but both time in dos i put 1234567 12345 then again 1234567 12345 i think i did something wrong here?? thats why maybe my disks are not playing??..

any help will apreciate...

you want to leave it on user specfied 1913760
then burn slow

the only reason to go back to optimal is if you are going to use this for different burning
