hey guys just wanted to know that if the 25 and the 28 are the same drive but different f/w. if so is it possible to just swap
the pcb board without spoofing it? i also search for trying to spoof ms25 to ms28 but nothing. i know how to spoof the the
key ms28 to 25 and patch the hack f/w with the orig key, is there anything else after that (this is where i'm stuck) or
everything is ok and ready to flash? thanks
ms25 to ms28 swap w/o spoofing
Re: ms25 to ms28 swap w/o spoofing
im not real sure on the pcb swap.
it wont hurt to try.
firmware toolbox will spoof the v25 to report as a v28
that would be if your console had a v28 to start with
spoof a v28 into a v25 console
that would be if your console had a v25 to start with.

You can go from an ms-25 to an ms-28 without spoofinf, but you'll have to put your key in it regardless. You can't however go from an ms-28 to an ms-25 without spoofing.

Re: ms25 to ms28 swap w/o spoofing
hey it works perfect. My problem was that my laser was crapping out so i decide to get a new drive which was the ms25.
so my ms28 was already flashed. so i just switched the ms28 pcb board into the ms25 and it worked. Cuz i figured the key was in the pcb board and it was already flashed and so i tried and it worked w/o going through dumping keys and modding f/w saved me a lot time...lol well thanks again!

I didn't think you'd have any problems with it. Glad you got it going.
