this is good for guys like me who don't go on live and prefer a quiet 360 and want the newest fw.

reason i say that is cuz i don't think lower read speeds are safe on live anymore.


anyway just wanted to post this here.

I don't know why they wouldn't be. Reason is if the drive has a hard time reading, it throttles down the speed anyway. But thats just me though.

yeah sad only reason i say that is cuz there wasn't an official multi-speed 1.5 released, which leads me to believe it may not be safe anymore.

the only reason for the one spped firmware was
for speed .they wanted to get the firmware out as fast as possible to us.
im sure after things slow down a little bit you will see a firmware that is more than one speed.

keep in mind that 360 reads at 12x stock.
if it has trouble reading a disc is will step down to 8x then step down 5x.
and so on .you get the point.
that is part of the orig firmware.

so to even think that a slower speed is not safe if a bad assumption.

yeah if you look at it that way that i guess a slower speed fw wouldn't get you banned ?
