call of duty 4 backup doesnt work on hitachi47

backed up c-o-d-4 using xbc v2.6 and burned.
will play on mates 360 with samsung drive but not on mine with hitachi drive?
sound like its trying to find disk then reports unreadable disk ??
any ideas???

make sure it on good disc verbatim is what i use

yeah there the only disks i use ?? cant understand it.
and ive just re-flashed with iextreme 1.4 so using latest firmware.
think i may try image burn....usually use xbc to burn never tried image burn

that should not matter
if it works its not img burn
but just a fresh burn

sorry got it wrong 360 says unplayable disk??
do you think it will make any differance using xbc2.7 and do a new backup?
my mate says its cos hitachi drives are sh**! and i should replace it with a samsung drive...?

just checked disk with xbc stelth check and all are ticked exept split-vid would this make a differance as i have just started using ixtreame 1.4.

no there is nothing wrong with hit drives.
well the v79 are a pain.
the drive maybe getting old and the laser getting weak or something

I repair 360s. If you know how to fix things try:

1. Tuning the laser ( http://dwl.xbox-scene.com/tutorial/XBOX ... y_Moda.pdf )
2. Replacing laser...

Thats about all you can do if ur 360 is giving you problems.

I had the same problem with my hitachi. I tried everything on my computer and for some reason they would not play (would play on my samsung 360 though). I took the same game and had cofree back it up for me and it worked fine. We both use the same burner and programs. I don't have any idea what would cause it though.
