Was wondering if your lite-on drives make a loud noise when they're on their back and you hit eject for the second time to close them?
It's a scary noise lol but I've just been ignoring it.

The next drive I do I will try putting the rear lid back on the drive before ejecting for the second time. I think it will still make the noise because the drive is upside down but we'll see.CoFree wrote:that is way i like to solder my lite-on flashes.

When I flashed mine it started making a weird noise, but I just moved it around until it stopped.

After successful flashing I turned off the CK3. I unplugged the SATA cable and screwed the rear lid back onto the drive. I then turned it over, turned the CK3 back on, and hit eject for the second time to close the tray. No loud reverberation noise anymore!

Re: Lite-On Noise on 2nd Eject
On some of the ones that I've done, I haven't noticed any strange noises while having the cover off, but after getting everything done up and putting the drive back in the 360 I have noticed a few of them making a strange noise the first time running a disk in the drive. Almost like the disk wasn't seated properly or something and was making alot of vibration. Ejecting the disk and re-inserting it corrected the problem. It's not happened on all of the ones that I've done, but I would say its happened on about 4 out of 10 I would say.

Of the four, did you push the tray back in or eject it to close it (before reassembly)?sadalius wrote:On some of the ones that I've done, I haven't noticed any strange noises while having the cover off, but after getting everything done up and putting the drive back in the 360 I have noticed a few of them making a strange noise the first time running a disk in the drive. Pushed em in by hand. I figured that had something to do with it, so from then on out, I ejected and closed the drive through the CK3.
