Problems with lite on flashing

Post by ncaaplayer4 »

I got a ck3 pro and probe. I`ve tryed jungle flash and it said seial data bad.
I`vr tryed iprep 8.8 and it said dvd key invalid. The green light on the probe never comes on.
The blue is on. I`ve tryed useing a small srcewdriver to bridge the 707. What am I doing wrong?

Are you using a serial cable with your pro as iprep doesn't support usb due to the limitations of dos?

Could maybe try a different com port. Have you been into your bios and checked that the serial ports are set correctly? Failing that you could try a different serial cable.

The green light on the probe has to come on. It shows that there is a connection to the R707 point. Try getting the key and such through jungleflasher with the CK3 pro connected up by USB, but don't do the erase unless you want to try the new jungleflasher out. If you don't try the new jungleflasher, once you get your keys and such, use dosflash to finish it out in DOS.

I'm starting to think there are more to these lite on drives than meets the eye. I've only had one that I could not get the key from but I think that was a hardware problem.

There are new versions of dvdkey32 and jungleflasher out there, make sure to try at least the latest jungleflasher. It works great on my XP setup, pretty near flawlessly.

hey guys, if your having problems getting your key man and dont want to solder the 2 points, try what I did, i couldn't get the screwdriver or paper clip to work either and since im to lazy to order a probe i just whipped up my own little spear thing ....so what i did was pritty simple...i just found an old role of wire (check my attachments) that has the solid coper under the insulation not the threaded and stripped it about and inch or so...length doesnt really matter...and then i just took my plyers and flattened out the end of it till it was like a small flat headed screwdriver (once again look at my attachments)...and insted of putting it on top of the two R707 points i just help at and angle against the side of them....and when i tested it with DVDKey it got a good key the first time...and when i tried it again a few times it took my 2 or 3 at the most but just once most of the time...so for me it wasnt bad and simple to rig up...i just figured the copper with get better connectivity then my scredriver or paper click...so give it a try man or somethin along those lines

You havnt plugged the probe in right. I'm using a spear and I had the same problem originally, I switched the cable over to opposite ends and I got a green light on the spear and a blue when in R707 :) Just gotta figure out with my drive just decided to disappear in jungle flasher after I tried to erase.. :(

EDIT: Scratch that - just cycled it again and it worked, since my computer didnt freeze up it was pretty straight forward. :)

I found my problem. My CK3 has a bad seial cable port
100_1326.JPG
and usb port.
I made this to hook seial cable to and used my Ck3 for power
and got key three times.
