Good man.
If you're using iprep 101 V006.2
- boot USB device to dos
- On the dos screen turn on the 360 -
- TYPE: (Dben xxxxxxx xxxxx) with out brackets and hit enter -
- "MTK VENDOR intro failure "turn off the drive then press yes" -
- turn on the drive (it should start to read) -
- when finished you will see " Your iXtreme firmware is now ready to flash" -
If you can not get the drive to read please do not proceed seek help
- Now do the same to flash it just replace (Dben) with (Fben) -
- (xxxxxxx xxxxx) is the serial number on the back of your console -
and if you're using iprep 101 V008
- Type "DosFlash".
- It will show you the port you drive is on
- Press "Y" & press "enter".
- You get status 0X00 turn drive off/on. (ONLY TURN DRIVE OFF/ON HERE)
- Select the number of the drive.
- Press "R" [read] & press "enter".
- Type "BACKUPS\BENQ-OFW.bin"
- Type "FirmTool backups\BENQ-OFW.bin BENQ-CFW.bin".
- you'll get "success" message.
- Type "DosFlash".
- It will show you the port you drive is on.
- Select "Y" & press "enter".
- You get status 0X00 turn drive off/on. (ONLY TURN DRIVE OFF/ON HERE)
- Select the number of the drive.
- Select "W" [write] & press "enter".
- Type "BENQ-CFW.bin".
Good luck mate.

Re: Iprep 008.8 and ck3
Well i havent been able to flash the drive as of yet. When i try to read the original firmware it wont change the status to D1, just stays on status 7F.
Now i am not sure if it is to do with iprep and when i create a bootable key.. for some reason i keep getting this error when trying to prepare the key (see attached) - if i click cancel it will go through its normal process and copy across the files as per usual (so i think)
Now i am using a V6421A chip set as the scsi card.. so what do you think i am all out of ideas..
Oh and i have tried with iPrep V006 & V006.2

Oh i know that feeling. Hah. I normally save the files all over the place and e-mail them to myself just in case. Which version did you finally end up using? iPrep 101 v008 pro beta or did you manage to get hold of a ck3 and use 8.8? Once again top job danny.

Re: Iprep 008.8 and ck3
Ended up using V008 Pro Beta.. Something wasnt right about v006 just would find the benq drive..
Never ended up getting my CK3 - feel ripped off!
well actually i was ripped off lol - never got it!
With 008 as soon as i typed doshflash it found my cd-rom drives and i said 'n' to them and then BAM saw the benq drive and followed your instructions!
also i actually didnt have to power down - it never gave me the status as you suggested..
thanks again guys!

Spot-on. Yeah i've done a fair few benq's and i've yet to come across that status either but decided to put it in the instructions just in case it popped up. Oh happy days

Just and update.. i finally got my CK3 haha - bit late, but it did turn up.
I also purchased and MS28 drive of ebay so i can backup my games without having to keep re-flashing the BENQ. I will be using the CK3 for this once it arrives which should be in a few days
