iprep stuck after "press any key to continue" prompt

Post by caveman51 »

i am having a problem flashing my benq drive, i have a via sata card and also have no problems initially starting iprep up. however after i boot into iprep and get to the "press any key to continue" prompt and press a key, a line displays and is followed by a blinking courser,no more information is displayed it just gets stuck no matter how long i wait nothing more happens. I would very much appreciate any help thanks!

Man, that is weird :? I don't have much experience with VIA cards so the only thing I can say is update to the latest drivers. I think CoFree or Sadalius might be able to help you. I've been lucky of having nForce onboard ports so I have not used a VIA card yet.

thanks for the reply, i also have on board nforce ports, my mobo is an A8n sli premium nforce 4 but when i tried it with those ports the same thing happened i also tired to flash it on an two different computers with the VIA card using jungle flasher but my drive was not detected, so im sure that its not a problem with the iprep software itself since jungle flasher will not work also.

well
you want to use iprep v8.8

there is something wrong with your set up
you can try a different flash or even a floppy to see if you can get a dump.

i tried with a floppy and there is still no dump, my current setup is an
A8N sli nforce 4 motherboard
x2 3800 was oc to 2.8 ghz but i reset it thinking that was the problem
1 gb ddr 400 also was oc
7600gt
250 gb hd
asus dvd +- rw
my benq 360 drvie powered by the xbox hooked into a Via vt6421a sata card
windows vista x64 business
could there possibly be something wrong with the 360 drive that is keeping me from being able to flash it?

Could be your 64 bit vista playing up even though iprep runs in dos. Theres also 2 versions of Via drivers available (32 and 64 bit) It might be worth downloading the latest ones and trying again. Also make sure you've disabled raid and enabled legacy devices in your bios but i don't think you would have got that far without them being set correctly. Curiouser and curiouser.

64 bit is the trouble
hope over to.
http://www.klutsh.com/news.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and ask klutsh if it should work

I dont think 64bit support is in the 008.8 final build.

if you can find a xp computer and try it on that. ;)
