Another Wii exercise game is entering the fray via a partnership between French publisher Ubisoft and Gold's Gym.

Gold's Gym: Cardio Workout is a Wii-exclusive workout game that is slated for release on March 31 in North America. It's licensed by Rocket Co., and is the first Gold's Gym-branded videogame.

"It is a natural extension of our brand and is in line with our mission to get more people around the world excited about exercise and fitness," said Lisa Zoellner, chief marketing officer of Gold's Gym International.

Cardio Workout will be co-marketed by both Ubisoft and Gold's Gym. Each copy of the game will come with a free coupon for a seven-day VIP membership to Gold's Gym. The game will also appear at Gold's Gym locations.

Ubisoft marketing SVP Tony Key said in a statement, "In order to provide an authentic Gold's Gym experience the game will incorporate gym signage and dialogue into the game.”

The game is compatible with the Wii Balance Board accessory, and includes workouts such as cardio boxing, running, sit-ups and other calorie-burning routines.

Nintendo's Wii Balance Board is sold with Wii Fit, a game that incorporates its own cardiovascular exercises and health tracking tools.

Electronic Arts is another company that announced a Balance Board-compatible exercise game in EA Sports Active. Majesco also recently released Jillian Michael's Fitness Ultimatum, another game that uses the Balance Board.
