0800 is a FW you flash your drive with to enable the drive to dump games. So you plug the drive into your computer, and copy xbox games, then in turn you can burn them and play them on a console.

ABGX is a program for checking if a game is 'safe' for online play. It checks for stealth files, you do not NEED it for anything, just good to use to make sure your games are safe. Currently you cant use it on the aforementioned games because of the video partions.. It is being updated as we speak.

the ck3 is a connectivity kit

So do you really need it to enhance the Liteon drive or will the new Jungle and Iprep do it automatically?

jungle flasher and iprep are software, ck3 is a piece of physical hardware used to connect the drive to the PC.

I guess what I am meaning to ask is there a way to do it with out the CK3 and probe?

you need a ck3 of some kind to dump the file
a usb or com rs232 is needed
you can power the dvd drive without the ck3 but it is a pain

and
you would have to solder the r707 point if you dont want to get the probe

wow that 0800 thing is great news. I've been having a hell of a time backing up my games, but I do have a broken 360 around. I can just use that drive then.. awesome.

Back on topic. These guys are geniuses, I don't believe a FW will (hopefully) be out so soon.

Alright I have an Update.
1.51 will be here this weekend. I was told the team is trying very hard to release in the Early AM hours of saturday for the USA timezones/ morning in the UK. If that goal isnt acheived then it will be released sunday for sure i was told.

So we have no reason to not be patient cause think about it this way guys the problem was discovered less than a week ago and we are getting a fix very quickly so be extremely thankfull to the guys putting all this together. They deserve mad respect for this.

supposedly they will work with XP and Vista 32bit and good support with VIA cards.
