Flashing Liteon with Laptop

Post by ionstorm »

Hey guys quick question. I saw all the videos Cofree posted up (thanks btw very helpful) so is it possible to flash a liteon drive with a laptop using the CK3 with probe and jungleflasher and thats it? Also the drive has beeen previously flashed by someone else. Im asking cause on the CK3 kit im seeing a COM port connection like a printer type connection and im worried before i purchase it. Thanks in advance.

you may can get it to work with jungle

i figured it has to work, judging by your video you had the drive connected through the usb and no via chipset. My laptop doesnt have via chipset but it does have usb ports. What about the sata cable is it connected in your video?

make sure you sata card is a VIA chipset...

Also have a look at this. There's mention of a different driver for the sata card that can help prevent the "freeze" after the erase.
